CA: Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God

Yeah, well explained, sounds a bit along the lines of Nic of Cusa!
The “One” is the space of the “world” of the tick, but also the “pinch” of the lobster, or that rendezvous in person to confirm online pictures (with a new lover or an old God). This is the machinery operative...as “onto-theology."

I guess I just don;t get it, If God is infinite then he can;t be reduce to any finifte set of anything, but I don't see how anything is transcending being as long it exists,Jim B. wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 1:23 pmmet, I was thinking more in terms of beings -- the for-itself vs the in-itself. Conscious creatures who are defined by their possibilities more than by their present state or condition, and how if this would apply to us humans, it would apply even more so to God, maybe infinitely more so. God would not be reducible to a set of present facts or conditions but pure cosnciousness, a set of possibilitites, and in that sense he would transcend being. At least that's my take on it.

I am sorry for my attitude Jim I was very depressed at that point, nothing seemed important. I just couldn't force myself to care about responding. But that wasn;t fair to you.

Re: CA: Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God
Jim, are you thinking something like this? Being is like existence in the physical world and transcending being is like some kind of ideal world like the existence of numbers or the realm of the forms?
