Re: The Imputation of Sin and Righteousness
Also....I would love to see your commentary on the "for His / My Name's sake" idiom. (at some point....whenever, just something to think about) Not sure what this phrase means to you, so I'm not sure how i would respond to the request. IMO everything that has been done is for His Glory, His Name's ...

Re: Saving literal readers of the Bible and Fundamentals.
I know. And I'm glad Dia doesn't subscribe to it. But as a literalist he still has a problem with it since for him that too is the very Word of God. Like . . . Why's it there? . . What's it mean? . . I thought I had explained that one, and because I'm a 'literalist' I can claim that i don't have a ...

Re: Saving literal readers of the Bible and Fundamentals.
Metacrock, Met, I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm a bit confused to Meta's reply to me, so I'll make replies as best I can. conservatives are always attributing bad faith of some kind to motives of liberals. What? Did I attribute some kind of bad faith to some kind of motives of liberal...

Re: The Imputation of Sin and Righteousness
I’m going to get a little off topic here, but will come back around to it. If God is Just, and He is, then He must punish those that violate His law and that penalty is death. We learn this from the very beginning. "The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat fre...

Re: Saving literal readers of the Bible and Fundamentals.
What I'm about to admit to might surprise many of you, but I am what I would call a 'literallist,' and by that I mean that I hold to a literal hermaneutic principle. Now, most people think that this means we always take the bible literally and do not recognize that it also uses metaphores, symbolism...
